meet the judges.

For such a huge endeavor, we have sought out some really incredible people to fill in the roll of judges for our wedding give-a-way. We're so thankful for their commitment to our {hopeful} bride, and we are certain that they will do a fantastic job selecting our winner! Here is a small glimpse into their beautiful lives and individual wedding stories.

Meet Taylor and Jennifer.

They have known each other for five and a half years, and they initially met through mutual friends at a party. After dating for more than three years, they got engaged and eight months later, they were husband and wife. This is Jennifer's experience with their wedding photographer: "I loved my photographer!  We were married in Atlanta and based our entire wedding date on the availability of our wedding photographer!  A good friend had used them and the photos were amazing!  They captured every detail of the big day from when we woke up till the last guest left the party!  Candid shots of family and friends and creative shots of the surroundings!"

Meet Penny and Jimmy.

They met in line at Firehouse Subs more than eight years ago. Penny forgot her debit card on her desk at work, and Jimmy agreed to pay for her lunch on one condition: she enjoy it with him. The rest is history, and they've been married for two and a half years. Both desired a small wedding, and were not concerned with hiring a photographer. Now that Penny has become a wedding vendor, however, she realizes the treat she forfeited and recommends all of her couples to add professional photography to their budget.

Meet Rebecca and Tim.

In August of this year, Rebecca and Tim will celebrate twenty-four wonderful years together as husband and wife. They met at church when she was just a little girl, and reconnected when she was a senior in high school. Tim proposed on her 18th birthday, and they were engaged for six and a half months. For their wedding, they chose an inexperienced, traditional photographer with very little flare to his style. If they could do it again, both agree that they would research this element a little more thoroughly before deciding.

Meet Jamie and Rachel.

They met at New Covenant Church during a year of ministry internship, dated for seven months, he proposed on the 4th of July, they were engaged for 6 months, and married the following January. January 17th, to be exact. When asked about their wedding photography/video experience is one of the only things they would love to redo about our wedding. Here is her account of their experience: "The lady who did my bridal photos shot them in her very small (and extremely dirty) studio, and made me hold a bouquet of fake (hideous) all-white flowers, and do some really strange, totally-not-me poses. I left with a dirty dress, and a tear-streaked face. To save costs on our wedding, my dad insisted that we have his brother take the pictures for our actual wedding, and while we got a lot of nice, candid shots, I definitely wish that we had some prettier, more professional photos to frame or put in albums. Our videographer was my husband's grandfather, and while he moved the camera in all the right directions, after the wedding realized that he had never pressed the big red "record" button. Oh, well. You look back and laugh, but if I could go back, I definitely would spend the extra money to get good quality, memorable photos and video of our big day.

Meet Deanna and Shawn.

They met through a mutual friend, dated, were engaged for fifteen months, and have now been married for six years. When asked about their wedding photographer, this was their response: "Our wedding photographer was excellent, she was professional and didn't limit my creativity. She offered us a photography package that was exactly what we were looking for. The only thing I would change: I wish I had invested in a bridal portrait. For some reason, I didn't think that was important. Now, I wish I had that wonderful picture hanging on the wall to reflect upon from time to time. However, I'm very glad that we hired a professional photographer that loves what she does. By doing so, it makes a huge difference in the pictures that you will hang onto for the everlasting memories of your special day!"

Meet Tommy and Lorraine.
34 years married

We met while we were both teachers at the same school – the students got involved in passing notes and sending me flowers from Tommy.

Unfortunately, we had no wedding photographer. We met in January – didn’t date until May and then married in August 1979. Yes, we only dated 3 months before we married. We only could afford pics that family members took. There were only about 20 people our wedding – mostly family and coworkers.

However, for my 30th wedding anniversary, I did have our few wedding pics framed nicely.
