Thirty-One.
We've all heard it said that April showers bring May flowers. Few people, however, know that there is something even more spectacular that April brings. During the thirty days that make up this beautiful month, organizations and communities all over the world come together with one goal in mind: to educate people all over the globe on ways to promote child well-being and encourage them to take action in doing so. Every year {just in the United States alone}, the total number of cases of child abuse reports is approximately 3 million, meaning that a case is reported roughly around every ten seconds. The simple fact that most of us weren't aware of that statistic before it was just shared is why National Child Abuse Prevention Month is so necessary.
At EmilieCarol Photography, we are passionate about people. All people, but especially those little ones who aren't quite able to take care of themselves. That's why this is such a special month for us, because we get to help and shine the light on an area of injustice that could be eliminated if enough people took a stand against it. We, for one, refuse to sit on the sidelines.
So, you may ask, how are we doing our part? For the entire month of April, EmilieCarol Photography is hosting a Thirty-One party! And not just any Thirty-One party, but one that will provide lunch boxes and bags for children who have been victims of abuse and are receiving assistance from Guardian Ad Litem and the Department of Social Services.
